California Fair Pay Act: Risks & Strategies for 2016

w/ DLA Piper Partner and Former Director of the DFEH, Phyllis Cheng

Webinar Overview

What are the risks associated with the new Fair Pay Act (SB 358) and how do you best prepare your organization by 2016?

In January 2016, the nation’s toughest pay equity law to eliminate gender-based wage disparity will go into effect in California, mandating pay parity for "substantially similar work" even if jobs and worksites are different.

The Fair Pay Act may widen the channel for your workplace bias claims. It could also lead to a battle of the experts on challenging and defending fair pay claims for years to come.

During this webinar, you will learn:

  • The practical risks associated with the Fair Pay Act
  • How to protect your organization by 2016
  • Questions and answers with Phyllis Cheng
  • Qualify for 60 minutes of continuing education for HRCI
  • Qualify for 60 minutes of continuing education for MCLE (CA only)

Phyllis and Janine will be doing a live Q&A following the presentation; MCLE and HRCI credit are available for this webinar.
