Creating a Respectful Workplace Under New Canadian Law

w/ DLA Piper Partner Karen Bock

Webinar Overview

In September 2016, Ontario's new law goes into effect, imposing new employer duties regarding the content of the harassment policies and investigation procedures and employers' duty to conduct regular harassment training to employees.

This new law adds to existing employer obligations in Quebec, Ontario, and other Canadian provinces, to train employees in order to prevent violence, bullying, and harassment in the workplace.

In this webinar with DLA Piper partner, Karen Bock, we’ll discuss how to create an effective and compliant program that addresses prevention of violence, bullying, and harassment for the Canadian workforce.

During this 60-minute webinar, you'll receive:

  • An overview of the legal landscape of laws regarding violence, bullying, and harassment within Canadian provinces
  • Best practices to create and manage a violence and harassment prevention program for the Canadian workforce

Karen and Janine will be taking your questions in a live Q&A. This webinar also qualifies for 60 minutes of continuing education for HRCI & MCLE.
